Flourixa Technologies Inc. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) runs LeoParle and is responsible for the information described here. Questions: support@leoparle.com.
The short version: LeoParle has no ads and no tracking. We only keep what's needed to run your family account: a grown-up's email, your child's lesson progress, and your plan. We never ask for your child's name, email or photo.
Your family account
- A grown-up signs in with their email address. We email a sign-in code; there is no password.
- The account must be created by a parent or guardian (18 or older), not by a child.
- We store: the email address, your child's progress in the app (lessons done, stickers and stamps, Léo's outfits, your settings), and your plan (which plan, renewal date, status). We also note the dates on which LeoParle was used (only the date, not the time or what was done), so we can see whether families keep practising.
- We use this only to run LeoParle: to sign you in, keep progress in sync across your devices, and know which lessons are open. We never sell it, share it for advertising, or send marketing emails without asking.
- You can delete the account and its saved progress at any time in Parents → Family account → Delete our account, or by writing to us.
Payments
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; LeoParle never sees or stores them.
- We keep only what we need from Stripe: whether your plan is active and when it renews.
The microphone
- If you allow it, Léo listens for your child's voice so he knows when they've spoken. This check happens on the device; the sound is never sent anywhere.
- For “Écoute-toi!”, and for open answers in the 9–11 version, a short recording is played back once so your child can hear themselves. It stays on the device and is never saved or sent.
- You can turn listening off any time in Settings, or block the microphone in your browser.
Léo's voice
Léo's voice is pre-recorded and comes with the app. Nothing your child says or does is sent to create it.
Who helps us run LeoParle
- Render hosts the website and the account server. Account data may be stored on servers outside Canada (for example in the United States), where it may be subject to local laws.
- Stripe processes payments. Resend delivers the sign-in emails.
- Each of them only gets what it needs for its job.
What we don't do
- No ads, no third-party trackers, no analytics.
- No data sold or shared for advertising.
- No recordings of your child are kept.
